At Luna's we mill our own organic grain

At Luna’s we mill our own organic grain.

Local Grain

At Luna’s Bakehouse, everything begins with relationships — to grain, to soil, to one another. We mill our own flour in-house from locally grown heritage grains, keeping the whole grain intact so that every loaf carries the vitality of our landscape.

All of our ingredients — from the flours we knead to the fruit, sugar, and dairy we fold into our pastries — are organic and carefully sourced.

We believe that nourishment isn’t only about food. It’s about the soil beneath our feet and the community we grow with.

Migrant Futurist Garden

So I am very excited to invite you to join Radical Ecology and Luna’s in designing a community garden at our joint Webber’s Yard Estate site in Dartington.

The Migrant Futurist Garden will be a green space that re-imagines migration as a source of creativity and connection — a living courtyard for memory, exchange, and imagination. Think raised beds, vertical gardens, seating, and shelter — a place to gather, grow, and dream.

If you’d like to be involved, please submit an Expression of Interest outlining your idea and practice to opportunities@radicalecology.earth by 24th October 2025.

Radical Ecology will contribute a minimum of £1,500 towards the artist fee, materials and build, with a further £2,500 to be raised via crowdfunding.

You can find more info at Radical Ecology’s website and Instagram, and of course on Luna’s Instagram.

Supper Club, and Workshops

Meanwhile, we’re quietly planning a few things of our own - a supper club and some hands-on workshops are on the horizon, ways for us to share food, skills, and stories together.

Totnes Opening Soon

We’ve been getting lots of lovely questions about our second site in Totnes — we are happy to say that we are almost ready to open at 101a in the High Street, after a few unexpected twists along the renovation road. We will be doing our delicious and well loved breads and pastries in the morning, and then pizza's from 1-9pm Wednesday - Saturday. More concrete opening details next week, so look out for our next Loaf Letter. x
